This painting was a required process for training in Shiloh Sophia McCloud’s COLOR OF WOMAN method. A freer and looser process than other required paintings called “ALCHEMIST.” In this context “alchemist” is meant to be a personal archetype which holds the answers to the inquiry: What do I want to transform in the world?
This process focused on learning to be present to the unfolding of living a more authentic life of my choosing. Could I learn to see my gifts and then confidently and freely share them? Could I use my wisdom and experiences to transform something in the world that matters to me?
This process is the epitome of what “Intentional Creativity” means. Intentional Creativity is the belief that we can create through the intentional process of inquiry. It starts with an idea, an inquiry, which is drawn into our right brains, where it is allowed to percolate. We imagine all the possibilities, we play with the idea. We then draw it into our left brains to provide structure to actually execute the idea, and we draw it into our heart center where the alchemy takes place. In our heart center our desires are mingled with the idea, infusing the creation with our calling, with our purpose. Then the process cycles through again bringing creativity, structure, and desire together to manifest our heart’s purpose into the world.
All of our experiences are useful — the good, the bad & the ugly! We transform everything through the alchemical process. We learn to inhabit our life!
I will cleanse to begin anew and I will always rise!
"She Who Knows" Message:
Tell me, what do you have to tell me about me? Speak your wisdom to me.
You are so beautiful! You have been through many transformations and you will go through
many more. Cry, it’s ok to cry. Sad tears, happy tears, fearful tears.
There’s so much! SO many ideas. So many thoughts! Such fire & passion!
You did allow others to dampen you fire. Light it up again! Throw another log on!
Now! Now is the time! This is your time! There is no rush!
You see in a way that others do not.
This is important! Be patient.
Be unattached to others actions.
It is yours to offer not to force others to receive, accept, or even to understand.
These things are in your heart for a reason.
Speak them for there is someone who needs & wants to hear.
Accept your place here. Show others it is OK to accept their place here.
All the things you worry over, STOP!
You will choose. They will choose. All is well.
Burn the nest if needed, but in the meantime. BE in the nest!
Continue to be in GRATITUDE!
This is a beautiful experience!
ENJOY! En-JOY! ~~~10-22-2014
The sides of my paintings are painted red to honor the “Red Thread” tradition of many cultures. This tradition says that people who are destined to meet are connected by a red thread from birth. The thread may tangle and stretch, but it will never break.
